The UVA BL lamps are coated with special blended phosphor to emit radiation of UVA light,  which makes use of both photochemical action and fluorescence  can lure the insects. UVA light peaking at 365nm emit radition the range 380-480nm with a peak wave at 365nm.As most night flying insects are sensitive to ultraviolet, so it can be used as inscet trap lamp
